Date night

To celebrate my fourth pregnancy, Jess decided to take me out on a date. I quickly made arrangements with a babysitter, and then we were off. One of the perks of Jess' job is that he gets to dine at nice restaurants with clients and prospective clients. He has eaten at a lot of different places and wanted to treat me to Barbacoa. This restaurant is very unique to say the least. Chihuly glass hangs from the ceiling along with gaudy chandeliers. Mismatched mirrors line the colorful walls, and a mountain of melted wax from burning candles greets the guests as they enter this eclectic eatery. My meal consisted of chicken with mole sauce and a pork carnita tomale while Jess feasted on a salmon pasta dish. We thoroughly enjoyed our time together in such an interesting atmosphere. We are not big on eating out. In fact, the two times that we actually dine out during the month as a family are at the Costco food court and McDonald's. Barbacoa was definitely a welcomed change.
