Thank Goodness it's Friday!

Blogging is an easy way to record personal and family events. The only problem with this method of journaling is that most bloggers don't post entries about the argument they had with their husband, or the massive mess found in every room of the house, or the inadequacies they feel as a wife and mother. Most posts are happy and almost seem sugar coated.

Well, tonight my post will seem that way-- sugar coated. But, today was one of the nicest that I have had in a long time. It went something like this:

6:30 am Left my home to go to the temple.

9:00 am Arrived back home to find Jess doing the dishes and the kids coloring.

10:05 am Volunteered in Simon's class and later ate lunch with him in the school cafeteria.

12:45 pm Came home to Jess picking up the family room.

1:30 pm Did some light cleaning around the house.

2:45 pm Took a short nap with the kids.

4:05 pm Snacked on Mint Oreos with Brahm and Simon.

4:30 pm Dropped the kids off at the neighbor's house, and left with Jess to go to the temple.

6:45 pm Ate at a local Thai restaurant.

8:00 pm Picked up the kids; watched Ava ride her bike without training wheels!

This is definitely not a normal day for me. Jess actually took work off, because it is "Stake Fill the Temple Day" where we are encouraged to attend at least 2.2 times. Jess and I took turns going to the temple on our own. Our neighbors graciously watched our children while we were able to attend another temple session together in the evening. It was such a productive yet relaxing day for me. I am hoping to end it by going to bed early! Nighty-Night!

  1. Our day was a little different yet mine did start with a trip to the temple. It was very nice. Did you eat at Mai Thai? Love that place.
