The growing season is coming to a close. We have thoroughly enjoyed the bounty of fruits and vegetables that have come from our garden. Nothing tastes better than homegrown tomatoes and strawberries. It has been so convenient to pick fresh herbs to flavor and garnish our dinners with. Jess' homemade salsa verde made with our tomatillos was so sweet and tangy! And, he even made cheddar peppers with our jalapenos. Hot mama! We loved making our favorite savory pie with all of our zucchini. Fresh cantaloupe was a favorite of ours to snack on. And finally, we have more delicate squash than we know what to do with!
When we came home from our Yellowstone trip, this is what was waiting to be picked in our garden.
