Grand Teton Mountain Range on the left
Monday Morning
We sadly said goodbye to Yellowstone and drove South to Grand Teton National Park. The Tetons were amazing! They were the highlight of our trip. None of our pictures of this 13,000 ft. high mountain range did it justice. We stopped for a scenic view at the Jackson Lake Lodge where there was a little trail that we followed through sagebrush to get a better view of this natural wonder.

Before we left for Grand Teton National Forest, Simon offered our morning prayer and asked to see a moose. As we were nearing Jackson Hole, Jess was getting very anxious because we hadn't seen a moose yet. Well, lo and behold we found our moose! This arch is made of elk antlers. There is an elk reserve near Jackson Hole, and the antlers are gathered up by local Boy Scouts when the elk shed them in late winter.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I grew up in Idaho Falls, so the Tetons feel like my mountains. You should check out the pictures of Jackson from July on my blog. There are some similar ones, you should have seen Rex drawing a crowd at the Bison, he was posing under it, it was pretty funny!
